Bodegas Ramon Bilbao’s international recognition continues having achieved the outstanding gold medal award at the latest edition of the prestigious International wine competition IWSC, (International Wine & Spirits competition). Ramón Bilbao Gran Reserva 2006 has been awarded the Rioja trophy, crowning it as best wine of Rioja. This result is more impressive when taking into consideration that this wine was the only Spanish wine awarded with a trophy.
Moreover Bodegas Ramón Bilbao is included as one of the finalists for the category ‘best Spanish wine producer’, competing with
Hijos Antonio Barcelo, Codorníu Raventós, Nubori and Bodegas de Familia Burgo Viejo.
Rodolfo Bastida, Ramón Bilbao Managing Director, will attend the Award Ceremony to receive the trophy for ‘best Rioja wine’ on November 12th at the same event the best Spanish wine producer will be announced.
We will be keeping our fingers crossed and wish Rodolfo all the best, hoping that he will come back with two awards.
